—Swami Sivananda—
Go to bed early and rise early. Sleep in a dark quiet room with a window open. Do not sleep less than six or more than seven hours.
Wear loose collars because tight collars present obstacles to free circulation of the blood through the thyroid gland. Wear porous clothing, light head-dress and low shoes.
Take nutritious food. Take large quantities of milk. Do not consume alcohol. Be temperate in the use of tea or coffee. Do not eat what you call quick lunches.
Take a bath daily and in addition once a week or every two weeks a vapour bath.
Remain as much as possible in the open air and especially in the sunshine.
Take plenty of exercises.
Avoid places that are over-heated (especially by steam) or badly ventilated.
Do not worry. Never be in a hurry. |
