—Sri Swami Sivananda—
- Be slow to make promises but quick to keep them.
- Unity is strength.
- A laughter a day keeps the doctor away.
- Whatever exists is God only.
- Trust in God and do the right.
- No pain no gain. (You need to suffer, if you want to achieve something.)
- Pride comes before a fall. (If you behave arrogantly, something will happen to make you look foolish.)
- All that glitters is not gold. (Not everything that seems good is actually good.)
- Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. (Living sensibly and without excesses will bring a person good health, money and wisdom.)
- A stitch in time saves nine. (If you take action or do a piece of work immediately, it will save a lot of extra work later.)
- It is easier to preach than to practise.
- Prevention is better than cure.
- Don’t cry over spilt milk. (Don’t waste time worrying about something that has happened and that you can’t do anything about.)
