Most people do not go to ashrams to take up residence there to practice a life of austerity and celibacy. Instead, most people in the world enter into relationships, and many of those will marry and have children. Yoga practice is not meant only for those leading a life of renunciation. Yoga is an art that can be applied in any aspect of life, and that certainly includes persons engaged in full-time work and family life.
